Dad and Son Day!

Well Saturday the son and I decided to go to Wally World to pick up the kids new beds, while the wife and daughter were having a girls day out. When we got to the site to store pick up we only had to wait for someone for 10 minutes! This was a new record for the site to store pickup that I am used to. It normally takes them about 30 minutes and me making numerous calls over their loud speaker system saying that we need help. After we picked up the beds, I decided that I would casually stroll through the toy section to see what I could find. I found this hammer toy that blinks and plays music everytime you hit something with it. I just had to get this for the son!

When the son and I got home, we slowly got the beds upstairs. I opened the first box and started getting all the pieces out to put the bed together. That was a bad idea! The son immediately decided to play grab and run with the wood pieces! After fighting my son off and finding all the pieces around the house, both beds were finally put together. What should have taken an hour had taken 3 hours!

After the beds were put together, I realized that I put one of the head boards on wrong! After that was fixed, the son and I decided to watch some TV. I got him a sippy cup of milk, I grabbed a coke and we sat down to watch cartoons. Man, was it a fun to spend time with the boy...OK OK it was a nightmare trying to put the beds together but other than that it was fun!

Oh and I forgot...my son has found out how to open the closet sliding doors...HE FOUND THE CAT LITTER!

Well last night I told my daughter that I would build her a train track on her new train table. I decided that I would make a castle out of her mega blocks and run the train track right through it. It came out pretty good...I don't know how long it lasted today though because of my son and his destructive ways...HA!

Never...I mean NEVER...Leave your son to play with one of those rubber stamp things that has the ink built in!!!!!!!!!!!! When I seen my son he had red stamps all over his face and arms!!! Of course I forgot to take a picture! At least it was washable stamp ink for kids!!! Lesson LEARNED!!!

Well, Christmas day was great!!! Kids loved all of their presents and actually made wrapping paper angels HA!!! Spent hours....opening toys and putting the batteries in.....FUN FUN!!! Oh YA and we caught Santa on camera!!!!! Check it OUT!!!!

Well let's just say that it was an ordinary night until about 8:30pm when my son decided to climb something, get himself hurt and taken to the ER. My son decided he wanted to climb my 4 foot tall jewelry chest for my coins that weighed about 80lbs. He open the bottom drawers and climbed to the top of the furniture....then he made it top heavy, it fell on top of him and split his chin open on the jewelery chest. The wife and I took him to a ER for children and he had to get three stitches... We didn't get out of the ER until about 10:30pm. When we got him home and into bed, we had to start wrapping presents...That lasted until 2am....FUN FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This will be a Christmas Eve that the wife and I will not forget! This kid is a runner and a climber!!!! Watch out for boys!!!! My daughter never climbed anything!!!

SO yesterday the family and I went to PA to visit some family and we left down there to come back around 5pm last night. When we got into the Cleveland area people were driving like idiots!!! It was icy BUT people were driving 10MPH in a 35MPH !!! The roads weren't that bad! People were in the ditches and what is it with people driving mustangs and cameros in the winter!!??!?!?! Are they really that thick headed to think that won't cause an issue up and down hills!!? Alright well it took us 3 hours to get home when it should have only taken 1 and a half!!! Alright I am done complaining about the winter drivers for now!!!

Well...It was that time again where my daughter had another ballet recital. This time the mall was crowded as ever because of the ridiculous and rude Christmas shoppers that had no respect for peoples belongings. Well lets just say that the wife and I went to the Browns Steelers game last night and boy was it COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was in the negatives with the wind chill and the wife and I were completely bundled up and still cold as a monkeys uncle. Of course my wife is an avid steelers fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know I know!!!! I still love her!!! HA!!! We had seats at the 50 yard line ROW 4 From the field!!!!!GREAT SEATS!!!! Ill have pictures later tomorrow!!! SO check them out when you get a chance!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, the family and I made a trip to the local Wally World to meet Santa!!! Serenity was all good about meeting Santa UNTIL we got there and she was like, OMG NO!!! So after ten minutes of convincing, My wife Kati and I finally got her to sit with me and tell Santa in a whisper what she wanted... My son on the other hand was great for the picture until he noticed who was holding him... As soon as he noticed that he starting crying but it was all good because we got his picture with Santa!!! CHA-CHING!!!

Well this is my uncle and the first day of buck hunting in Pennsylvania. He shot a nine point buck with an 18 inch spread. YES that's right I said my uncle and Pennsylvania!!! Well my son had a doctors appointment yesterday for his one year shots. He got his shots and the doctor came into see him. The doctor asked if the kids had been sick and my wife said yes. She told him the symptoms that the children had and the doctor told us that those were the symptoms of Swine Flu. Fun Fun RIGHT! Well the good news was that he said that both kids were getting over the Swine Flu and that the coughing might last 4 weeks. After the doctor told my wife this he asked if she wanted to give the children the Swine flu shot!!?#?$#>@ Why would I give my kids something the government came up with so fast with minimal testing?! I let my kids use their immune system and it did the job like it was suppose to.

What is all the fuss about this Swine Flu anyway. Yes, its a different strain of the flu but my children (1 yr old, 3 yr old, my wife and I) all fought it off with no problem. We just had a slight fever and mild congestion. A lot of hype for something that has killed less than the regular flu this year. Oh well though my family got through the Swine Flu no problem so enough said...

We let the kids play in the leaves, with Caeden and Serenity chasing each other around the grass! So last night my wife and I had some carved pumpkins outside that were...lets say past their prime. So we decided to put them into garbage bags to take them out to the trash...Lets just say that I have never witnessed a pumpkin collapse in on itself when you go to pick it up!!!My wife put on those yellow kitchen gloves to pick up the pumpkins...HA! Well its a good thing she did because both pumpkins kinda fell into a mush that didn't look as good as they once did! Now I have to go out and buy MORE pumpkins because I mistimed the pumpkin carving AGAIN this year and carved them to early to survive through Halloween!!! MAN I really need to learn how to time those things!!!!

Well I had the wife buy some new paint brushes so that I can finish painting. I find myself putting it off because it STINKS!!!!!!!!!! But while I was putting it off a little longer my son found that the new paint brushes were ticklish. I kind of brushed his ear and he made this screwed up looking face like it felt good but tickled LOL. Then he grabbed the paint brush off me and tried to brush my face. I guess I deserved it though LOL!!!! Little brat!!! After that I painted a little...just a little. After the painting MY daughter JUST HAD to comb dads hair..FOR LIKE 3 SECONDS then was like, OK dad MY TURN!!! Whats with that!!!! SHE TRICKED ME into combing her hair! DANG IT!!! Then I snuck my daughter a candy bar...SHHHHH

Well let me start off by saying that I am glad to be hear talking about my family. Everyday has something new that I have to sort through. That being said, I am currently painting our living room BLUE!!!. Last night I was painting of course and Caeden my son(11 months old) was playing. I turn around only to see him spill the paint on the carpet!!!!!!!!!! Now this wasn't a good thing because my wife would KILL me if there was a blue stain in the middle of the living room! So I rushed to the closet and grabbed the carpet cleaner and 1 hour later.....the carpet looks as good as new!!! LUCKY ME!!! I decided then to stop painting until I put my son Caeden to bed. I should have waited in the first place but hey, I am a GUY.
